As part of our continuing efforts to deliver clean, safe, and reliable water, the North Chelmsford Water District performs regular system maintenance, including hydrant flushing.
This program facilitates water turnover and internal water main cleaning, which help maintain the condition of the distribution system, improve water quality, and ensure functional operation. Hydrants will be opened one at a time.
Please be advised that you may temporarily lose water pressure or experience discolored water, which is caused by disrupting naturally occurring, unharmful sediment within the main. If you experience discolored water, run the cold water in your shower/tub until the water runs clear. If you have difficulty getting the water to clear up or have any questions, please contact our office.
