To prepare for water system upgrades as part of the DPW’s Middlesex St Bridge repair project, the North Chelmsford Water District will install a second water valve to minimize water service interruption during the project.
Water service on and around Edwards Pl., Gay St., and Middlesex St. will be temporarily interrupted while our team works to install this gate. After water service is restored, we will flush the hydrant(s) in the area to minimize the risk of your having discolored water, but you may still have some temporary discoloration.
To resolve discoloration, run your cold bathtub tap (or faucet without an aerator) for several minutes after service is restored. If you continue to experience discolored water, please contact our office. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.
